And then I asked myself, why am I still here....on second thought, the space bar on this comp BLOWS [Apr. 23rd, 2005|12:20 pm]
[mood |annoyed/tired]
[music |Take my breath awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay]

Yeah so it's a BEAUTIFUL Saturday and I am sitting in the main library at a computer where you have to mash the space bar to get it to make spaces and I'm praying the online data base I'm waiting for will magically start working because right now it's not, and I'm just sitting in the library because I'm too tired/lazy to move after an extremely weird night out on the town.

Ugh School, I have such a love/hate relationship with you.

Ashley and I ended up drunk babysitting last night, it was seriously the weirdest night I've had here I think (seriously, this space bar sucks,I have to hit it so loudly to make it work). We ended up down town with two of our guy friends who got pretty drunk and mayhem followed. They ended up sleeping at our place because they couldn't drive home and Ashley and I didn't want to stay at their place if I drove their car back to their place. It was very weird...that's pretty much all I have to say about that.

If the data base for old Georgia Newspapers doesn't start working soon I might die.

Blaaaaah I'm off to go send emails and such,if it's not working in 15 minutes I'm leaving to go play outside because obviously that's God's way of saying get your ass outside and run around.

I'm from out of town! Where should I go? - the most popular pick up line in Athens! [Apr. 11th, 2005|05:55 pm]

My weekend definitely recieves two thumbs up from ebert and roper.  It featured special guest star Katherine Ann Odom all the way from Mercer U in Macon, GA.  And to think I wanted to go to bed at 9 on friday, psh.  Luckily Waffle House lured me out of bed.  So we hit up waho and got some cafe au lait (well I did at least)  and then Jeremy called because he was working and wanted us to stop by.  After I got some caffinee in my system we decided to go ahead and see what was happening down at Molly's.  There wasn't too much going on so we chatted with Jeremy and went home to "wacth top gun" really I was just going to fat forward to the vollet ball scene but since Ashley has still never seen Top Gun all the way through (and this girl lives with me! Can you believe it?!) we started at the begining and were all asleep at about 20 minutes into the movie.

Saturday was G-Day with the G-Day game (or the G D Day game if you ask Ashley haha)  we attended the first half which was good times.  It wasn't as exciting as football season but it was enough to get me through until football season.   Then we came back and chilled and then we all went to church and dinner and came back and played cranium and phase ten with Kevin Timms to celebrate his bday which was last Thursday.  I got him the best card ever.

Then Katie and Ashley and I went back to Molly's after walking around downtown.  We met some seriously intelligent hotties which was great.  It was Kevins' 22nd birthday!  haha, Josh, Kevin, and Hat boy (I wish I could remember his name!) were great company for about and hour and 1/2 until the regular crowd had to show up and ruin it!!  Ashley and I have decided that we will never go downtown with boys again!!  We rang the victory bell as a conclussion to the night and went to bed.

Really this weekend was top notch.  I <3 Athens to the max sometimes and this weekend was one of those times.

I'll let the pictures speak for themselvesCollapse )

TOday has been simply fabulous! And of course it will get even more fabulous with the amazing race which is not one but two hours tonight.

First of all BEAUTIFUL weather, I was rocking the jean skirt and flip flops and it was perfect!!

I did not sleep at all last night, pt test jitters. Eventually I just turned off my alarm and got ready to go and then just sat around trying to make myself calm. Megan McDonald (aka my hero) let me borrow her car to get myself to the test, Megan, you are awesome and I love you!! So I got to the test and I did really well. My run was a lot slower than last week, but I squeaked by and I passed it! woo hoo! They want to swear me in at our field training this weekend but we'll see.

So then I came back (after searching for a decent parking spot for Megan) and I washed up and went to breakfast with my lovely roommate and suite mates. Kyle eventually joined us and then Ashley, Kyle and I departed for econ. I ran back to the dorm room to grab a book and Ashley called because econ had been canceled! I watched some of the today show and ellen and took a 1/2 hour nap before going to MIlitary Science which lasted for 10 minutes because they "didn't want us to be stuck in class on such a lovely day". Kyle and I went back to the dining hall to get victory ice cream and chill. Then I was off to psyc experiment I was supposed to participate in for class, but after I got there and the five of us who were supposed to be there sat down the experimenter said she had a test and was going to cancel the experiment but we would still get credit!! I came back to the dorm and hung out with my roommate and watched newlyweds and the inferno. Good times definitely.

I've decided to pretty much save up my scholarship money and go to CA this summer for a week or so. I am very excited, I want to go to Hollywood and the beach, those are my requirements haha.

Ashley, Kyle, and I had a fabulous and hilarious conversation over dinner that had me laughing the whole time which of course is always fun. Then we took advantage of the weather and walked from ECV back to reed where I am now.

Anyway, it's time to pick up the room, write a history paper, and watch the AR, yay Ron!!

Next time I come to econ I'm wearing a tiara [Feb. 17th, 2005|02:34 pm]
[mood |crazycrazy]
[music |Phil Collins]

So basically this week has been pretty good.

Valentine's day was monday of course. Kyle, Ashley, Anthony, and me all went out to dinner. Anthony bought Ash and I dinner which was really nice. Then me, ash, and kyle came back and ate ice cream, it was our support group for Kyle since he just got told by his girl friend that she wanted a break. Poor thing. It's nice though because now Kyle is always over in our room (his roommate is being a jerk face) so we all have good times. Phase 10 is almost as hard core as ETHPU.

New Amazing Race starts in less than two weeks, and one of the pows from iraq is totally on it, he totally goes to uga, he's totally in arotc, and he's totally in ashley, kyle, and I's econ class! Haha we're so excited. We just discovered he was in our econ class today (we were making acrostics out of our names and then I saw him lol, we are such stalkers). Apparently according to Kyle if Ashley and I had stared at him any more we would've put a hole through his head. His partner on the race is his girlfriend, Miss South Carolina, that's why Ashley and I have decided tiaras are now necessary for econ and if we ever make eye contact we will break out the parade wave.

Ashley and I are looking forward to when we go on the Amazing race (because we totally will get on, America will love us!) We've decided on our title for under our names, it's a little something like this:
Erin and Ashley
college roommates/hotties
I think that about sums it up.

On Tuesday I was very sick, but luckily I am feeling much better. I waited at the health center for more than 2 hours and finally saw a doctor who prescribes me pills that were HUGE!! Tuesday night I was really sick and I fell asleep when I got home and I woke up and Ashley was asleep on the floor and Kyle was sitting at my computer playing snood haha. Ashley had to get up and go to class (she has class at 6:30 pm on tuesdays). Kyle made sure I didn't choke on my medication (seriously though, the pills are huge). And then I went to bed haha. My face was so full of pressure I thought it was going to explode, it was awful.

I'm going home tomorrow! Yay!

Now I'm off to military science lab. We're doing MOUT (military operations in urban terrain) and we're going to clear the rooms in the military building. It should be pretty cool.

86 days until Disney World!!! yay!!!

Sweet Tarts at night make me CRAZY!!! [Feb. 3rd, 2005|12:01 pm]
So last night I spent a while working on a history project and I was doing that until like 11 and then whole time I was doing it I was eating those crazy valentine's day sweet tarts. So I turned off the tv after Ashlee Simpson and then I was like bouncing off the walls haha. Ashley and I had the craziest conversation ever! Haha it was really funny. I think the sugar wore off around midnight when I fell asleep finally, I think I was mid sentence talking to Ashley haha. Waking up for pt this morning was no good. And they told us today that our pt test is next wednesday, gee, thanks for the notice.

Lacey and my mom are coming to see me and ashley on sunday. yay!! I sent lacey a package and it was awesome. I also sent out other mail so check your mail boxes.

It is cold and rainy here and we have Mil Sci lab today so that's going to blow. I think we're doing squad attack or something, I could be misinformed.

Yesterday in History we had to read examples of these reader responses we do and one of the examples kept spelling Americans "American's" it was really annoying.

Everyone come visit me in athens, I miss my posse.

I want Ashley to come back from class so we can go eaaaaaaaaaaaaaat.

On Tuesday we ordered Chinese food because the amazing race people we in china and we decided to be festive. We called at 8 because Ashley had class until 7:45. We did not get food until 9:30. It was awful. I was very hungry, and then on top of all of that they brought me the wrong kind of soup :(

Where is my roomie??????????

And I'll leave you with this:

Me: I'm in a gang.
Ashley: Me too.
Me: Oh, really?
Ashley: Yeah, maybe we're in the same gang!
Me: No...we're not.
Ashley: Oh.
::elapsed time five minutes::
Ashley: I'm really upset that I'm not in your imaginary gang.

And that my friends is what sweet tarts do to a girl.
